Cremation Services
The staff and volunteers at the Ontario County Humane Society are animal lovers and recognize all pets as members of the family. As pet parents ourselves, we hate to imagine life without them and understand the complicated emotions and painful heartache felt during the loss of these family members. Unfortunately when the time comes, and you have to part with your beloved family pet, please consider the cremation services offered by the Ontario County Humane Society. Doing so supports the needy pets at the shelter, who are awaiting forever homes. Unlike our competitors, the Humane Society does not profit from this service and revenue generated is utilized to maintain a safe and healthy environment for victims of cruelty, abuse, and neglect. We would be honored to assist you during this difficult time and to return your pet in a timely and professional manner. Pricing & Cremation Options
The Ontario County Humane Society offers two types of cremation services. Price is determined by the service you select and the pet’s weight. Payment is due at the time of drop-off. Pets may be dropped off for cremation service during business hours. No appointment is necessary.
Individual Cremation: your pet is cremated individually and ashes are returned in a decorated tin. Our most popular service. You are welcome to provide a more custom urn, jewelry, or other container for ashes to be returned in.
0-5lbs / $60.00
5.1-30lbs / $90.00
30.1-60lbs / $120.00
60.1-80lbs / $155.00
80.1-120lbs / $190.00
120.1+lbs / Please call ahead
There will be an additional $1.00/lb
for any pet over 120lbs.
Group Cremation: your pet is cremated communally with other pets. Ashes are not returned to the owner and remains are disposed of in a non-recoverable manner.

Following cremation, you will be contact ASAP and within two weeks to arrange pickup of remains.
Paw print Keepsakes
Ink and clay keepsakes can be included. They are a wonderful way to remember your treasured companion. Please request your print at the time of drop-off.
